Welcome Salem County Going Green Project

Sponsored by Mannington Mills and Salem County Schools, New Jersey

This project is designed for teachers in Salem County, New Jersey, Grades 1 through 12 to help them engage students in activities that encourage conservation, recycling and environmental awareness.

Become an integral part of the movement across Salem County to bring environmental awareness and activities right into the classrooms of county schools, with Mentoring from Mannington Mills.

Through a sequence of workshops over a year, teachers will learn about environmental issues, how they can be applied to their classroom and how their schools can Going Green with students assessing whether their school is accomplishing their goals

The NJASCD award for Partnerships in Education. The award was presented to Mannington at the NJASCD State Conference.

GreenStep Honoree: Promotion

The goal of the GreenStep program is to recognize sustainable
environmental initiatives throughout the floorcovering industry; to
promote and support those efforts by providing a public industry forum;
and to honor those people and organizations whose efforts embody the
ideals of environmental stewardship. This year, 2010, more than 90
entries were received and featured.  A distinguished panel of industry
and environmental experts selected the final 8 winners. FCW held the award ceremony on July 28, 2010
